Our Edinburgh based public sector client are looking for an experienced people manager initially on a 6-month interim contract to manage a team (8 staff) of non-qualified financial analysts. Overseeing the activities of the team who undertake the month end reconciliations and prepare the initial variance analysis (1st level) of the monthly management accounts before the relevant finance business partner reviews, undertakes additional analysis and prepares supporting commentary. A technically strong, and ideally qualified management accountant you will monitor and ensure the accuracy and quality of the teams outputs ensuring all internal deadlines are met. A ‘Qualified by Experience’ with the right skills will be considered. It is essential you have a track record of managing staff. Salary circa £35,000 - £40,000.
