The Opportunity:
Our client has experienced significant growth over the past two years and is now investing in its Finance division. This role offers more than just accounts and administration responsibilities - it provides the chance to play a key role in operational effectiveness while delivering best-in-class service to business stakeholders.

Working alongside the Group Accountant and receiving mentoring from the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function while contributing to the strategic success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing month-end processes across all subsidiary companies
  • Supporting budgeting, and forecasting
  • Preparing cash flow reports and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly group consolidated accounts
  • Handling accruals, prepayments, and deferred/accrued income
  • Conducting intercompany reconciliations and bank reconciliations
  • Managing core finance functions including Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Preparing monthly VAT returns for the group
  • Assisting with year-end and interim reporting, as well as external audits
  • Liaising with HMRC and supporting annual risk management reviews

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Working towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A proactive, process-driven approach with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
