Rutherford Cross is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a family-owned, growing, FMCG business to appoint a newly created Management Accountant position in Uddingston.
The business's turnover has grown by 60% in the last 4 years and as a result, this new role has been created to drive the operational performance of the business through providing financial analysis to senior stakeholders.
The Role:
Primarily responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in the provision of management accounting, analysis and reporting of the company's costs and profitability; this role will play a key part in supporting the business by collaboratively working with stakeholders to improve business performance and maximise profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will be tailored dependent upon the successful candidate.
- Preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
- Variance analysis and reporting of product costs
- Investigating costs and suggesting cost saving measures
- Cashflow preparation
- Balance sheet, P&L, bank reconciliations
- Preparation and posting of monthly journals and accruals
- Assisting with stock reports and stock counts
- Assisting in audits whilst working with external auditors
- Review and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
- Undertake process improvement projects and continual review of financial reporting processes
- Provide ad hoc support/holiday cover for the Finance Managers and the wider Finance team, including purchase ledger and sales invoicing

Experience:
- FMCG or manufacturing experience would be advantageous but not required
- Experience/ understanding of standard costings would be advantageous but not required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills and strong experience with ERP systems
Education/Qualifications:
- Part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
