Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with a well-known governing body in order to appoint a Management Accountant.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial evaluations, management information, budgets and forecasts as well as monitoring financial performance against plan to support management decision-making.

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
• Manage information and reports for external stakeholders as required and to agreed timescales
• Co-ordinate, communicate and plan the budget and forecast processes to enable completion
• Analyse budget and forecast returns and highlight areas where action is required
• Support and provide cover to the finance officer in all aspects of financial accounting up to preparation work for financial report and accounts
• Provide guidance to budget users in the planning, creating and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
• Responsible for review and improvement of financial controls
• Contribute to the development of financial systems, processes and procedures to support the overall aim of continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Educated to HND/ Degree level in a financial discipline
• Part or ‘Qualified By Experience’ Accountant
• Excellent MS Excel skills
• Excellent communicator
• Demonstrated ability to working towards and meeting tight deadlines
