Permanent Management Accountant job with our manufacturing client based in Glasgow. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

• Day to day running of the Finance Function
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including profit & loss and balance sheet accounts
• Annual budget setting and ongoing monitoring of budgets
• Analysis of variances and preparation of forecasts and reforecasts
• Stock monitoring and variance analysis
• Supporting Production Managers with KPI’s
• Regular liaison with Operational Managers
• Accruals & prepayment calculations
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Calculating the cost of production using recognised Costing methodologies
• Supervision of a small Finance team

Applications accepted from both qualified and ‘qualified by experience’ Management Accountants. It is desirable that you will have previously worked within Manufacturing and have experience of working with ERP/MRP systems. Salary up to £35,000 per annum. Interviews in October 2014.
