Rutherford Cross is working with an SME business based in Ayr who are looking to add a Management Accountant to their team on an interim basis and to start asap. This management accounting role will focus on management reporting and business support working as part of a small finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director this role will also have regular interaction with other senior members of the business including Operations/Sales Managers and Business Services team. A summary of some of the key tasks include:

• Producing management accounts with supporting commentary and analysis
• Managing standard costs
• Preparing budgets and forecasts
• Analysis of financial performance and investigation into any variances
• HMRC reporting including PAYE/VAT

For this role the client requires a candidate who is either fully qualified or qualified by experience and preferably has worked in a manufacturing and SME environment. A recent knowledge of ERP systems experience would be advantageous as well as the ability to work in a fast paced and changeable environment.
