Senior Finance Manager, Interim, Day Rate

Rutherford Cross is currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Mnager to join a Public Sector organisation based in Edinburgh on an interim basis for a 3-6 month period.

Responsible for a team of 2 you will lead and manage all aspects of the transactional finance team including:

• Leading a cross functional finance team covering AP, AR and Banking ensuring all AP, AR and Banking deadlines are met
• Reviewing and approving journals, general ledger reconciliations, payments and invoice runs
• Reviewing KPI reporting
• Treasury management and monitoring cashflow
• Responsible for ensuring that financial processes are efficient and compliant, monitoring and reviewing all financial processes and driving change to deliver improvements, ensuring robust controls, processes are in place
• Planning and organising workload month end activities
• Responsible for managing the relationships with a number of major stakeholders
• Dealing with any queries from the team and the wider organisation

In order to be considered for this position you will need to:

• Qualified accountant CA, ACCA, ACA or qualified by experience
• Available to start at short notice, ideally you will be immediately available
• Experience within a similar role
• Experience working within a public sector organisation – desirable
• Maintain strong interpersonal skills
• Experience managing a team
• Maintain a Disclosure Scotland – desirable
• Experience working in a manual, high volume environment
