Description
Interim Senior Finance Manager opportunity with a Glasgow based non-profit organisation for an initial 6-month period.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including statutory accounts in accordance with OSCR guidelines
- Overseeing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making
- Maintaining robust financial controls to safeguard charity assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Leading the preparation for the annual external audit, including liaising with auditors, providing required documentation, and addressing audit queries
- Coordinating and managing the year-end process to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounts
- Assisting in the preparation and review of grant funding applications, ensuring accurate financial forecasts
- Advising trustees, senior management, and other stakeholders on financial governance and compliance matters
- Supervising and mentoring junior finance team members
- Leading process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
- Collaborating with senior leadership to develop financial strategies aligned with the organisation’s goals
The Individual:
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, ICAEW) with a proven track record in a similar role
- Experience in preparing charity accounts and knowledge of OSCR requirements is desirable
- Experience co-ordinating a year-end process including external audit support
- Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Available at short notice
