Rutherford Cross is working with a market leading organisation who are looking to add an interim Project Accountant to their team for a fixed period of 12 months. This is a specialist project role which will be providing support around an ERP system upgrade and providing analysis of the business impact of changes between the old and new versions of the ERP system. Working as part of a large finance function a summary of some of the key duties are below:

• Working closely with the finance team to ensure that the new system provides appropriate management and statutory reporting
• Support the splitting out of legal entities into reporting divisions
• Performing rigorous testing, documenting results and ensuring financial postings are accurate
• Ad hoc financial analysis to support the requirements of the project
• Attending team meetings and project workshops
• Prepare migration data to enable data input for go live and testing
• Support training of super users of changes to system processes

For this role the business require either a fully qualified accountant or a qualified by experience accountant with recent relevant experience in a similar role. Strong analytical skills are key as well as being able to demonstrate flexibility to evolving situations and challenges throughout a project. Prior experience of working on an ERP system implementation or upgrade is important as well as having experience of working with a large and complex organisation.
