Rutherford Cross is working with a client based in a scenic location around 1 hours’ commute from Glasgow. This role is a long-term maternity cover for up to 1 year. Working as part of a small finance function you will be responsible for the duties below:

• Support in the preparation of monthly and year end Management Accounts, with variance analysis
• Maintenance, reconciliation, and (if required) adjustments of General Ledger accounts
• Processing of bank payments and bank reconciliations
• Processing sales invoices and managing VAT returns
• Preparation of prepayments and accruals
• Reconciliation of petty cash, debtors / creditors control accounts and intercompany accounts
• Produce Management Information and reports as required for business performance monitoring
• Interrogating all Finance and IT functions, documenting processes and building the procedures manual
• Job Costing and Analysis
• Support in the preparation of Annual Budgets for various cost centres
• Periodic update of Financial Models and the running of sensitivities on an adhoc basis
• Perform any other duties as required to ensure the successful and efficient running of the Department

This role will ideally start asap and therefore requires a candidate who is either immediately available or available on short notice. It is essential the successful candidate is either fully qualified or qualified by experience with good excel ability and high attention to detail.
