Interim Head of Finance job (Hybrid) with a highly reputable and established organisation based near Glasgow for an initial 3-4-month period.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, including preparation of relevant reports
- Reviewing Management Accounts
- Finance Business Partnering for Services
- Providing effective commercial management relating to contracts and suppliers, liaising with legal advisers as required
- Managing weekly cashflow forecasts and credit control function
- Leading on payroll processes, supporting the Payroll Manager as required
- Managing day-to-day banking relationships
- Assisting with systems developments as required
- Leading on procurement activity
- Liaising with external advisers
- Signatory for bank accounts, purchase orders, BACS payment runs and payroll to ensure payments are made timeously
- Carrying out annual appraisals and supervisions for line reports to provide support and monitor performance
- Additional ad hoc tasks as required
To apply, you will be a fully Qualified Accountant with good commercial awareness and a focus on the bottom line. Working knowledge of contracts and a background in commercial management would be advantageous. Preparation of budgets, forecasts, cashflow and tenders for a complex organisation is essential with the ability to confidently report to Board level. Lastly, the post holder will have Advanced Excel skills, good people management and be comfortable managing competing priorities.
This role supports an agile and hybrid working model with only 1 day per week required in the office. Salary: £54,000 p.a. or day rate equivalent.
