Rutherford Cross is pleased to support a high growth business, in the outskirts of Glasgow, with the appointment of an Interim Group Reporting Accountant.

On a 4-5 month period, the postholder will report to the Group Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually) in compliance with IFRS/local GAAP
• Coordinating external audits, acting as the main liaison and ensuring timely delivery of audit requirements
• Developing and maintain group-level cash flow forecasts, including daily cash and working capital analysis
• Leading month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely group reporting and board pack preparation
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting, consolidating inputs from business units
• Reconcile intercompany balances and review balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and compliance
• Assisting with internal audits, including planning, documentation and control assessments across the group
• Contributing to ad hoc projects, such as transitioning to IFRS 16 and simplifying financial processes

The Ideal Candidate:

• Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounting standards and regulations
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Available at short notice
