Description
Interim Group Financial Controller job for a 9-month period with our Renfrewshire based client. Reporting to the Group Finance Director you will be responsible for:
- Leading the global reporting process which includes consolidated monthly results, annual budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
- Production of reports including analysis and commentary by individual entities
- Monthly monitoring of performance across the Group
- Preparation of group consolidated statutory accounts in line with accounting standards and reporting requirements
- Overseeing the annual group audit being the main liaison point of contact with external auditors
- Leadership and management of the finance team including Tax & Treasury, Group Statutory Reporting and FP&A
- Implementation of transfer pricing across the Group
- Regular review and analysis of Group cashflow including cash flow forecasting to support Treasury management and the management of foreign exchange risk
- Develop and implement global policies and procedures
- Develop and implement global internal controls
- Develop and monitor KPI’s for the global business
- Work closely with management to ensure compliance with group accounting policies
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant, probably CA/ACCA with a proven track record in a Group Finance role previously ideally within a global business
- You will have a strong technical financial accounting skill set, highly experienced in the preparation of consolidated and statutory accounts
- You will also be up to date with current accounting standards and be able to display a track record of improving controls, processes and procedures and be able to develop a strong control environment
- You will have excellent team leadership experience and will ideally have led Group Consolidation, Tax and FP&A functions previously
- Finally, you will have first class communication and stakeholder management capabilities able to liaise with both local and global management
