Rutherford Cross is working with an innovative business with a unique offering in their market place to recruit for an Interim General Ledger Accountant for up to 6 months. The role is to provide additional support within finance while a project is happening. The position will be responsible for providing assurance on the completeness and accuracy of financial information, ensuring that accounting policies adhere to best international standards and in close compliance to relevant laws, regulations and corporate governance standards. The role will also support the manager with a variety of other tasks including; Month-End close cycle; Payroll, Fixed Assets and stock accounting; Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Annual Audit. A summary of some of the key tasks are below:

• Maintain general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy with journal entry preparation
• Prepare monthly accruals and prepayment entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations monthly
• Supporting the manager with development of accounting and administrative policies
• Ensuring a robust internal control system over accounting transactions and financial reporting
• Preparing year end statutory and consolidated financial statements and related disclosures
• Assist with the annual external audit process

This role will suit an experienced fully qualified accountant with recent experience in general ledger accounting who can demonstrate a strong technical skills set. The ability to problem solve is key as well as being able to multi-task.
