Interim Financial Controller job with our Stirlingshire based client. This role is for a 6-month period and will report directly to the Finance Director managing one direct report. The key duties of this role are:
- Lead on forecasting to support the business planning, liaising with key stakeholders, for the short, medium and long-term
- Review and develop controls, processes and procedures to ensure appropriate systems are in place to support business growth
- Assist in developing business cases and financial models ensuring capital expenditure is approved
- Liaise with project teams to ensure management of expenditure and cash flow is in line with budgeting
- Analyse and review performance including budgeting, cashflow forecasting, cost control and financial KPI’s
- Manage the accounts function with support from the Accounting Assistant including invoice processing, payment administration and annual accounts preparation, as well as annual accounts audit
- Completion of VAT returns, corporate tax returns, R&D tax credits and capital allowances
- Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure compliance reporting is complete for key partners and funders
- Ad hoc support to the Finance Director
To apply you will be a Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ accountant with excellent commercial understanding. You will be experienced in statutory reporting with an understanding of Tax and Compliance. You will be a good communicator and comfortable liaising with key stakeholders at all levels. You will be experienced in implementing controls, process and procedures and be able to produce high quality management information to support with decision making. This role will begin Mid-February and support hybrid working with 2-3 days a week in the office. Salary £50,000 - £70,000 p.a. dependant on experience.
