Interim Financial Controller job for a newly established entrepreneurial business looking to deliver a unique international project. Based in Edinburgh for a 6–12 month period.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for all aspects of finance, including:
- Establishing the finance function and creating the associated processes and procedures
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including profit & loss and balance sheet accounts and all associated reporting
- Regular ongoing cash flow management and forecasting
- Financial modelling of projects and scenario planning
- Identification and management of any possible risks associated with taxes, including international implications
- Board attendance and reporting
- Stakeholder management and reporting
- Production of year end statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors
- Operational support (dependent on experience)
- Contractual negotiation and review, especially on financial matters
To apply you will be Qualified Accountant and experienced Financial Controller from an sme background. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative and bring a flexible can-do attitude to support the wider newly established team. You will ideally have experience of working in a start-up business and have implemented processes and procedures from scratch. You will be extremely hands on but also have the stakeholder skills to liaise at Board level and contribute to the wider business objectives. This post could be undertaken either 4 or 5 days a week. Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 p.a.
