Rutherford Cross is working with a Global business based in Edinburgh to recruit for an Interim Financial Accountant for a contract period of around 6 months. This role will ideally start in the next two weeks and will offer broad exposure across financial reporting at what is a very busy time for the business. A summary of some of the key aspects of the role are below:

• Supporting with the statutory reporting covering multiple international entities
• Liasing regularly with Accounting Manager and Group Tax manager
• Ensuring strong controls are in place and supporting with internal/external audit processes
• Preparation of trial balances
• Creation of detailed files from which statutory accounts will be directly prepared
• Regular liaison with various contacts across the business
• Ad hoc support for project work as required

For this role the organisation are ideally seeking a fully qualified accountant however they will consider a part qualified accountant with strong technical reporting background. Working knowledge of FRS 101/102 is essential as well having good excel ability. Exposure to tax would be desirable as would experience of working for a large multi-national.
