Interim Finance Officer (FP&A) job with a Scottish headquartered organisation for an initial 12-month period.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring timely completion of all period-end tasks, including the preparation and posting of accounting journals
• Preparing periodic reporting packs for the business, including commentaries to explain variances in budget/forecast
• Assisting the finance business partners in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including attendance at meetings with other departments
• Identifying and analysing areas of costs to the business on a regular basis
• Supporting the FBP’s with periodic reconciliations related to their respective directorates
• Ensuring all are completed on a timely basis and adequate supporting information is provided
• Assisting the Head of FP&A and Business Partners with any ad hoc requests or project work

The Individual:

• Must be available at short notice
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in a similar Management Accounting role
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
