Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a growing SME business based in Glasgow who are looking to appoint an Interim Finance Controller for an initial period of 3 months however this could be extended. This role will be very hands on and helping the business through what is going to be an extremely busy period. With full control of finance the duties will be wide ranging and it is essential the successful candidate has experience of working with Sage Payroll and preferably also has experience of Zero. A summary of the key duties are below:
Oversee Sage Payroll with hands on control of payroll and associated pension contributions and employee benefits
Oversee quarterly VAT returns
Handle all HMRC communications
Bank communications
Daily cash flow management
Liaise with auditors on year end accounts
Review and insight of monthly KPIs that drive the business
Liaise with tax advisors
The role will suit a hands on Finance Manager/Controller who is fully qualified - CA/CIMA/ACCA and has recent experience in managing a high volume payroll as part of their finance duties. The business is fast paced and it is essential the candidate is flexible to adapt to changing priorities. On offer is a contract that will start asap and could progress into a permanent role in the future.
