Description

Rutherford Cross is currently working with a business based south of Glasgow who are looking to add an Interim Finance Business Partner to their team for a period of 6 months. Working as part of a sizeable finance team this role will be focused on producing accurate MI for the business through effective partnering with different contacts throughout the organisation and ensuring a proactive approach to gathering the best insight and analysis. Although this role does not have direct team management responsibility the ideal candidate will have very strong communication and influencing skills at a senior level and be able to drive change where appropriate. A summary of some of the key duties include:

  • Delivering accurate and timely monthly management MI giving insight on performance
  • Working with various stakeholders to understand their operation and provide high quality decision support
  • Contribute strongly to the financial planning and forecasting processes
  • Constructively challenge processes and inefficiency to promote a value add culture within the finance team
  • Work with fellow FBPs to enhance and standardise partnering model
  • Actively participate as member of the Finance management team
  • Monitor financial performance of research projects and other ad hoc activities

This role will suit a fully qualified accountant with recent experience in a commercial finance business partnering role. Strong excel and systems ability will be key to interpret and present data and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and build relationships. The role is wide ranging and will offer exposure across different part of the organisation. The company are keen to appoint asap through virtual interviews and onboarding processes.
