Rutherford Cross is currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst for a 12 month fixed term period with our client based in Glasgow. Working as part of a large and established finance team this role will be suited to a candidate coming from a highly data driven background with strong analysis ability. A summary of some of the key duties are below:

· Support the upgrade of the company ERP system whilst they implement a new consolidation module, with the objective of producing improved reporting to the group

· Testing and verifying data from different finance systems across the group before uploading into the module

· Finance business partnering with group finance to support statutory and management reporting

· Supporting the development of statutory and management accounts, balance sheet and cash flow, and the splitting out of individual entities into reporting divisions

· Testing new system to ensure they are functional and appropriately incorporate any new modules

· Verify the accuracy of financial postings, documenting results and helping the team investigate exceptions

· Use ERP system and reporting to support the finance team and project through ad hoc financial analysis

· Provide training of system changes and process through project knowledge for business users

For the role the company is ideally looking for a fully qualified accountant, and it is essential you have experience of working for a large multinational business. The role requires very strong attention to detail and experience of managing high volume data and being able to form opinions and make recommendations based on analysis.
