Rutherford Cross is exclusively partnered with an Ayrshire-based SME to appoint an Interim Finance Analyst to support the finance team in building forecast models, budgets, and financial forecasts. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills and experience in financial modelling. This role involves analysing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in the strategic planning process. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial forecast models
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Analyse financial data and present findings to senior management
• Provide insights into financial performance and variances
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data

Requirements:

• Proven experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the energy sector
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas and financial modelling
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
