Rutherford Cross is working with a leading multi-national business who are looking to appoint a Commercial Accountant to their team for the next few months. This job will be likely to last until the end of April 2019. This role will support the Finance Controller with day to day operational activities with a particular focus around balance sheet work, VAT returns and P&L activity. A summary of some of the key duties are below:

• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and SOX requirements
• Preparation of monthly VAT returns, Intra-stats, customer declarations, etc.
• Intercompany reporting and reconciliations
• Liasing with different finance managers around costings, margins, p&l responsibility

For this role the company are seeking either a fully qualified accountant CA/ACCA/CIMA or a qualified by experience (QBE) accountant with demonstrable experience in a similar role. It is important that you have experience in a large, complex business and can work proficiently to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and reporting skills will be key. On offer is a contract role to start immediately which can also offer some flexibility around working hours.
