Description
Interim Assistant Management Accountant job (Hybrid) with a growing business based just outside of Glasgow for an initial 3-6-month period.
Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Group Financial Accountant in the preparation of group management accounts including posting journals and preparing bank reconciliations
- Presenting gross margin data to the commercial team and supporting the in-depth analysis and commentary of operational work carried out
- Group overhead reporting, leading monthly review meetings with budget holders and supporting with the preparation of annual budgets
- Signing off all company payments on a weekly / monthly basis in conjunction with the Group Financial Accountant
- Ensuring all balance sheet accounts and key profit and loss accounts are reconciled monthly, mitigating any financial risks to the business by rectifying any anomalies found
- Preparing monthly intercompany matrix and resolve any discrepancies
- Identifying any process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the team
- Supporting the Group Financial Accountant during the annual audit and assisting with preparation of annual statutory accounts
To apply, you will be a Part-Qualified Accountant with prior industry experience. This role will work closely with the Group Financial Accountant and the wider finance team to deliver well-presented accurate financial information to support and challenge Senior Leadership to maximise returns for the business. The post holder will have good knowledge of Excel, strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate well at all levels. You will also be comfortable managing changing priorities and workload.
This role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week required on site.
