Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a well-known brand to appoint an Intercompany Team Leader to their Glasgow office. Their finance function is ambitious, hardworking and highly successful and the business can offer excellent future career prospects.

The role reports to the Manager of the function and represents a great opportunity for either a Part Qualified Accountant or an experienced Senior Finance Assistant / Finance Team Leader to take responsibility for a small team focused on the reconciliation of intercompany transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring all time and efficiency targets, provide tailored support to meet these performance requirements, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Performing monthly 1:1’s with the team using all of the appraisal tools at your disposal
  • Offering advice and develop team members, provide them with relevant skills to undertake their tasks more efficiently
  • Finding areas for development to better your understanding, propose new ways of working to management, ensure effective controls are in place
  • Evaluating the reporting of credit control data, see if improvements can be made
  • Liaising with internal staff / credit control to ensure the adherence of policies, procedures and external regulations
  • Recognising potential skill gaps in team members and arrange for additional up-skilling where needed

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience of ideally working in a large, complex structured organisation
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Excel with a strong knowledge of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss analysis
  • Previous experience working in Financial Services management, insurance or equivalent would be a real benefit
  • Experience of managing a team with outstanding attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Happy to multi-task and plan ahead, delivering and operating to strict deadlines whilst motivating others around you
