Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a leading institution, currently seeking a Head of Finance Business Partnering to join the team, based in Edinburgh. The role takes responsibility for the financial position of the business, as well as supporting the organisations strategic decision making.

Working closely with the Finance Director, this role sits within a senior capacity delivering strategic leadership opportunities across the business, as well as leading a team on the delivery of business performance.

Key Duties Include:

  • Interpreting, explaining and driving performance within the business
  • Leading changes in financial delivery across the organisation
  • Build strong, effective relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are understood and managed and ensuring effectiveness, credibility and full confidence in the service delivered
  • Responsibility for all elements of internal financial reporting, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting
  • Leading a team of finance professionals to deliver effective business partnering across the organisation
  • Working with operational budget holders to develop opportunities to increase impact, revenue and funding opportunities
  • Developing analytical tools to collate and present data and analysis for senior managers and undertake analyses on strategic options, business cases and projects as determined by the Executive team
  • Assisting the Finance Director in the preparation of reports for various committees
  • Leading on business support, management and BI reporting, strategic planning, annual budgeting and project finance appraisal

Experience Required:

  • Qualified Accountant (ICAS/ ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Experience working in a leadership role and developing a team to change and deliver effective reporting across the organisation
  • Effective communicator and influencer with strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders as well as influence, analyse and challenge
  • Technical ability to take ownership of a business partnering team and drive performance
