Our client is a leading charitable organisation based in Glasgow City centre. Due to an internal restructure they have taken this opportunity to strengthen their finance function and recruit a Head of Finance and Administration.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive you will be responsible for overseeing both the finance and administration functions and as a member of the senior management team will directly contribute to the continued success of the organisation.
The successful candidate will be fully qualified and may be someone looking to make their first move from the profession or perhaps looking for their first managerial role. Regardless of their background, you will need to demonstrate strong hands on financial and management accounting experience coupled with the ability to establish and maintain strong effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience of working within the charitable or third sector would be beneficial but not essential
With responsibility for the monthly monitoring of financial performance, preparation of annual budget and annual statutory accounts, you will provide financial information and analysis to support the strategic decision making process. Ensuring robust financial management and internal audit systems, you will regularly review financial procedures, internal controls and reporting structures promoting best practice and delivering efficiencies where applicable.
