Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a global organisation based in Glasgow to recruit for a newly created Head of Finance. The business are a market leader and have a very strong international presence and due to growth of the finance function they are keen to appoint a hands on Head of Finance managing Accounts, Credit Control and Accounts Payable Teams. The role will be focused on ensuring preparation and accurate monthly management reporting and analysis as well as running the statutory accounts process and liasing with Auditors. You will be managing a sizeable team of 13, with 5 direct reports.  A summary of some of the main duties are below:

• Managing a large team across Management Accounts, Credit Control, Accounts Payable functions
• Hands on and effective management of the team, providing coaching and support
• Preparation and review of the monthly management accounts as well as providing supporting analysis and commentary
• Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
• Control of monthly profit and loss and cashflow forecasts
• Preparing the annual regional budgets
• Ensuring the smooth running of statutory accounts process, preparing annual UK IFRS financial statements
• Management of the external audit process
• Preparation and reivew of Government reporting for different regions
• Involvement in ad hoc financial projects

This role will suit a fully qualified accountant with prior experience in managing a large team and preferably in an organisation with an international presence. The role will offer the opportunity to identify and make improvements with processes and reporting and also will include regular stakeholder engagement.
