We are delighted to be working with a prestigious organisation in the centre of Edinburgh to recruit an Interim Head of Finance. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, working closely with the Executive team and supporting the organisation with its’ continued growth.

With responsibility for the whole finance function, some of the key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing the finance team, driving continuous improvement across the function
• Responsibility for organisation-wide budget setting and review
• Leading on the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and report
• Dealing with Internal and External Auditors, taking full responsibility for presenting relevant reports to the Audit committee
• Management of Cash and Investment portfolio
• Building cooperative relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, including the Executive team and senior budget holders
• Contributing towards their digital transformation agenda which may involve the project management of system changes

The ideal candidate:

• Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical skills
• Previous experience of staff management
• Collaborative and collegiate in their approach
• A strong communicator who can promote finance as a function that supports the wider business whilst ensuring processes are followed
