Rutherford Cross is working with a high-profile business to recruit a Group External Reporting Accountant. This is an excellent career opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join a successful and well-established organisation based in Glasgow city centre at an exciting and pivotal time for the business. Working in the group reporting team the  opportunity offers the chance to gain hands on experience in the delivery of key financial reporting for a wide range of stakeholders. With regular interaction with a range of contacts across the business this role will require a candidate with very strong communication and influencing skills.

Duties include:

• Management of accurate and timely statutory accounts on both an interim and annual basis
• Working across different business areas, building relationships with key people who contribute to the reporting process
• Providing financial analysis including review of consolidated results
• Play a leading role in the relationship with the external auditors to review for consolidated and subsidiary accounts
• Analysing consolidated results and reporting back to senior stakeholders
• Liaising with Investor Relations team providing financial analysis
• Staying ahead of recent Technical and Financial accounting updates and regulations
• Ad hoc analysis
