Rutherford Cross is working in partnership with a Big 4 firm in the UK to assist them to hire a US Tax Global Mobility Senior Consultant or new Manager. This role will be based in Glasgow which most recently was in the spotlight as the hosts of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

 

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and the third largest city in the United Kingdom and most recently were the host to the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Today Glasgow is one of Europe’s top 10 financial centres and is home to many of Scotland’s leading businesses. Glasgow is a city that combines and embraces history with new cutting edge style bars and a vibrant live music scene. The city is going through a long-term transformation, evident along the revitalised River Clyde, where visitors can explore Glasgow’s mighty maritime heritage along riverfront walkways. Museums and galleries around the city have been made even more impressive with the reopening of the colossal Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum making this a city that has something to offer everyone. Glasgow is also well known for its shopping possibilities and also the football rivalry between the Old Firm, Rangers and Celtic. With the newly built SSE Hydro arena, Glasgow attracts the more international music artists than any other city in Scotland. There is excellent transport between Edinburgh and Glasgow and the rest of the UK in addition to having one of the busiest international airports in the UK.

 

This opportunity is with a Big 4 firm and they are looking for Global Mobility US Tax Senior Consultant or new Manager. This team is growing steadily due to the demand from local and international clients and also with plans to expand up to the Aberdeen office in the north of Scotland in future years. This role would be suitable for someone who is solely focused on Global Mobility US Tax however a dual handler would be considered if they have considerable US tax abilities. This role is also for someone who has a long term vision in their career as this opportunity will offer good progression possibilities. Due to the culture of the team, this client is looking for someone who has a long term commitment to relocating to Scotland. There are close links with the London office and also across the EMEIA region in addition to receiving support from the combined centre in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in a consultancy capacity either in the US or across Europe and working within Global Mobility in US Tax.
