Rutherford Cross is pleased to have been retained by Aggreko to appoint an FP&A Analyst to their Group Finance Function in Glasgow City Centre.

Background to the Opportunity

There has been a recent restructuring within the finance team, whereby a “Future of Finance” programme has been introduced, with transactional accounting activities being outsourced. The business is now keen to ensure that they have a pipeline of emerging top talent to drive standards with a best-of-class finance function in the West of Scotland. As this position will be highly visible liaising with business units globally and with senior business leaders, the successful individual will be of the highest calibre. Reporting to an aspirant FP&A Manager, this represents an excellent opportunity to gain insight into performance across the entire group, you will have the ability to affect genuine change in the business and will play a major role in the FP&A team.

This role is newly created following a recent restructuring within the FP&A team.

The key to succeeding in this role will be building strong working relationships across the finance planning team and striving for process improvements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support monthly Group and Regional reporting requirements ensuring completeness and accuracy of regional P&L, balance sheets and SAFs
  • Highlight and drive opportunities for standardisation and simplification across the group
  • Full-year forecasts – manage the consolidation of the regional full year forecast (including bonus reporting), ensuring insightful management information is delivered in a clear manner
  • Lead on the preparation of monthly cash dashboards, routinely providing to the regions on time each month.
  • Manage debtor paper and risk report production and sharing with key stakeholders
  • Manage the risks and opportunities monthly reporting from regions to group, ensuring alignment with regions
  • Succinct and complete headcount reporting – working with both the people team and regional finance teams
  • Support the completion of the front section of the annual report through efficient communication, including KPI reporting
  • Be the lead on reviewing intercompany transactions and sharing best practise
  • Support the annual Budget and medium-term plan process
  • Adhoc analytical analysis providing actionable insight
  • Continuous improvement of existing processes across the wider finance planning team to help improve efficiency in the team
  • Deputise for the Regional reporting and FP&A manager
  • Provide cover for other Group FP&A analysts as required

Package & Remuneration

  • £40,000 - £47,500 DOE + up to 20% max Bonus with 10% on target
