Description

Our client, a national utilities organisation, seeks a qualified Financial Systems Manager. Reporting to the Director of Financial Operations, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust and sustainable financial control framework across all areas of Financial Operations, including the integrity of finance systems and processes.

Working with the Financial Operations Leadership Team you will lead the development and maintenance of the financial control framework which will meet the objectives of:
-delivering sound systems, controls and assurance
-delivery of a robust internal controls framework and compliance programme
-improvement of key processes

You will be pivotal in driving transformation of Finance systems across the group and play a consultancy role in the design and implementation of our client’s systems and reporting strategy, using your expertise of finance and in-depth understanding of the related risks and controls.
Our client is looking for someone who is a fully qualified Accountant who has significant experience as a Finance Manager or similar leading large teams of finance professionals. You will have had plenty of exposure in an audit or risk and control focused area and will hold specialist knowledge of risks in relation to transactional finance functions. Ideally, you will also have experience working with core finance systems such as Oracle eBusiness suite or another ERP system. Commercially minded you will have a proven track record in implementing business improvements and will be skilled at influencing positive behavioural change across diverse teams and will thrive in a collaborative working environment.
