Financial Performance Accountant – (6 months fixed term contract) Edinburgh £38-42k+ benefits
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, analytical and commercially-minded accountant to join a team which is central to the internal / external communication and reporting of the Group's results.
This high profile role offers strong career progression prospects and provides exposure to all parts of the Group's operations, including Business Unit finance functions, Group Investor Relations, Group Financial Planning and Group Strategy. The role requires strong communication and influencing skills in dealings with senior management and their teams across the Group.
This team are responsible for managing the Group's Management Information reporting process including the production of the monthly Group Executive Performance Scorecard for the Group Executive and Group Board Performance Report for the Group Board. This process supports decision making and ensures the Group Executive and Group Board are informed of the Group's performance against Business Plan, Forecast and external market commitments. In addition the team is responsible for the design, content and drafting of the Strategic report section of the Annual Report and Accounts and Half Year Interim announcement. A key priority for the team over the coming months is a high profile project focused on successfully delivering significant enhancements to the content and design of the 2015 ARA. The team is also responsible for preparing the Group's capital statement.
You'll work within an area committed to producing top quality work to tight deadlines. You will act as the key relationship/contact point with specified Business Units and the role will include the review and challenge of submissions received from them.
This can be considered as a 6 month role but is also a foot in the door to a career within the organisation. The high profile and unique nature of the role will allow the individual to make many contacts around the organisation.
