Description

Our client is a market leader in their field and has grown significantly, both organically and via acquisition, in the last 12 months. Reporting to the Finance Director, this key role has overall responsibility for technical reporting, commercial decision support, staff management and leading new company acquisitions.

Specifically, this includes:

  • Management and control of financial systems
  • Responsibility for leadership and development of the accounting team
  • External reporting to the parent company
  • Production of the consolidated quarterly reporting pack
  • Responsibility for coordinating annual and quarterly audits
  • Management of financial related legal issues
  • Review and control of the Balance Sheet
  • Completion of Statutory Accounts and Tax Computations
  • VAT calculations and submissions
  • Management and control of the Purchase Order system
  • Leadership of acquisition/integration projects
  • Responsible for all financial/commercial aspects of the business through control and analysis of Revenue and Gross Margin
  • Customer quotation and credit check approval
  • Management of cash flow
  • Responsibility for the month end closure process for revenue, cogs and gross margin​

To apply for this role, you will be a qualified accountant, ideally from a Big 4 background, with a minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience. You must possess strong technical accounting skills, especially in relation to IFRS, coupled with the ability to influence the business commercially.

Key qualification, skills and attributes include:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines & thrive under pressure
  • High level of organisational and time management skills to deliver robust, accurate financial data and information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities for a number of stakeholders
  • Professional and credible with senior management
  • Ability to interact with influence and impact at all levels
  • Reliable and resilient with ability to thrive in a dynamic & changing environment
  • Flexible and collaborative approach
  • Effective and confident communication and presentation skills
