Description

Title: Financial Analyst

Reports to: Finance Director

Location: South Lanarkshire

Salary: up to £55K

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a key client within the FMCG sector in order to appoint a Financial Analyst as the business continues to undergo a massive period of growth and success. Given the exposure of the position, it is essential that the individual has the ability to build effective and robust working relationships within the finance team and across all departments of the company. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with financial modelling and output as required
  • Responsible for weekly analysis and reporting
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and support to the wider team
  • Assist with the various budget processes throughout year
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the business, both in the UK and globally
  • Maintain excel templates used for reporting, planning and modelling
  • Support commercial negotiations
  • Prepare budget packs for stakeholders
  • Actively support the Finance Director and communicate at all levels to ensure information is shared in a timely manner
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end duties
  • Present financial information to franchise partners
  • Other Ad hoc duties as required

The Individual:

  • Fully Qualified or ‘Qualified By Experience’ Accountant
  • Previous experience in Financial Analysis
  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Ideally have experience working in a multinational finance function

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current finance best practice
  • Good analytical and data presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably and professionally with senior operatives within the business
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to pro-actively suggest improvements to existing processes
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
