Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a valued Glasgow-based client with the appointment of a Financial Accountant (Hybrid) for an initial 12-month period.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts
• Analysing financial performance and providing commentary on variances to the budget, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end processes
• Assisting with preparation of annual statutory accounts and working papers including liaison with external auditors
• Liaising with internal audit as required
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Identifying any process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the team
• Supporting the finance manager with ad hoc projects and analysis as required

The Individual:

• Part qualified accountant (e.g., ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Financial / Management Accountant or a similar position
• Knowledge of Sage 200 is desirable
• Applicants must be available at short notice

On Offer:

• Hybrid / flexible working (2 days per week office requirement)
• Salary up to £42,000 p.a. (DOE)
