Rutherford Cross is excited to partner with a diverse, dynamic, and expanding business to appoint a Financial Accountant. This represent a superb opportunity for a qualified accountant (ICAS/ACCA) to work closely with the Financial Controller to implement essential process improvements, ensuring an efficient daily and monthly routine that provides reliable, accurate, and timely information to the Senior Management Team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual statutory accounts
• Handle consolidations, required disclosures, and intercompany analysis
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and work with department heads to understand and interpret the numbers
• Ensure accuracy and control of the Month End close process
• Ensure accuracy, control, and reconciliation of the Balance Sheet
• Plan and analyse cashflow
• Ensure accurate coding of revenue, cost, and asset postings
• Manage, report, and plan corporation tax
• Prepare and provide relevant information to external auditors and advisors
• Assist with the integration of a new E system

Personal Specifications:

• Experience in working with and creating financial models is advantageous
• Knowledge of Sage 200, TRAMPS (preferable), and CCH accounts software
• Familiarity with corporation tax, VAT, and CIS operations
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior management
• Commitment to professional continuous development
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• A proactive attitude and flexible approach to the demands of the role and business needs
• Ideal for someone making a second move out of practice, though this is not essential

Experience/Qualifications:

• CA/ACCA Qualified

This role can be split across Strathclyde Business Park and Glasgow City Centre

Salary:

• Up to £55,000.00 plus bonus
