Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a fast-growing, tech business based in Glasgow city centre to appoint a Financial Accountant.

The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller on all aspects of core accounting functions including reporting, month-end close, annual audits, and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring a high-quality monthly close, explaining financial performance drivers, and providing high-quality internal and external reporting
• Assuring smooth and on-time month, quarter and year-end closing
• Producing annual financial statements
• Processing management and improvement
• Monitoring internal controls and compliance with JSOX
• Monitoring compliance of financial procedures with the law and tax regulations
• Supporting finance projects as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Relevant financial experience in IT, Consulting or similar services business
• Experience with working with international public companies
• IFRS and UK GAAP literate
• Qualified Accountant
• Knowledge of processes / workflows / procedures
• Experience working with modern software and systems
• Strong communication skills in a multicultural and international company
• Excellent analytical skills and organisation skills, attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency and follow-through
• Problem-solving skills / team player

On Offer:
