<p>Financial Accountant £35-45k + benefits</p>

<p>Rutherford Cross are working in partnership with a leading city centre financial services organisation. This company is known for its excellent talent management and providing internal opportunities by way of secondments, rotation and promotion. We are seeking an ambitious and energetic individual with a good eye for detail and process improvement. Good analytical and communication skills are central to the role. This is an accounting production role and offers excellent hands-on experience with IFRS, statutory accounting, regulatory accounting, projects and financial control within a collegiate and dynamic environment.</p>

<td><strong><u>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintaining up to date, professional knowledge in an environment of fast moving regulatory change.</li>
<li>Maintaining and applying knowledge of a multiple reporting basis.</li>
<li>Applying commercial understanding of the business, to ensure accountancy advice is aligned with business needs.</li>
<li>Communicating complex accounting procedures and principles with multiple stakeholders across the business, both in the UK and potentially globally.</li>
<li>Regularly working to defined and tight timescales, whilst maintaining professional standards.</li>
<li>Completing a range of standard accountancy functions to meet business and regulatory requirements, including producing financial reports and accounts, providing analysis and reviews of financial data, and statutory reporting as required by the specific department or business area.</li>
<li>Providing professional accountancy advice to multiple stakeholders in a range of business environments to inform business decision making, such as within a regular reporting cycle or within a project environment.</li>
<li>Maintaining knowledge and understanding of multiple reporting bases (eg IFRS) in order to ensure a comprehensive consultancy service is provided to business decision makers.</li>
<li>Applying appropriate quality assurance controls to all work produced in the team, to ensure the accuracy and validity of the company’s financial information.</li>
<li>Undertaking analysis of a range of business data and reports, to provide recommendations on commercial viability and tax efficiency of proposed business strategies.</li>
<li>Providing accountancy input into the development of new business processes, to ensure they incorporate current legislation and reflect developments in industry standards where relevant.</li>
<li>Leading, developing, coaching and mentoring others as required, to maximise their contribution and ensure they are fairly rewarded.</li>
