Rutherford Cross are pleased to be exclusively partnered with one of our key clients to help appoint a Financial Accountant. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly reputable Scottish business in a business-critical role that will provide varied exposure and career development opportunities. They are based in in Stirling and operate a hybrid working model. On offer is a salary of up to 40k + benefits.
Ideally, we are looking for a strong part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) accountant who possesses sound business acumen and has the strength of personality to liaise with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. We also need an individual that can operate with a high level of discretion to maintain strict confidentiality over the information they will be privy too.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and reliable financial records
- Produce accurate management accounts
- Prepare and maintain 12 month rolling cash flow forecasts (rolling weekly as appropriate)
- Assist in development of budgets for the above
- Monitor the performance of the above entities relative to budget and forecasts and undertake variance analysis
- Produce monthly bank reconciliations
- Producing quarterly VAT returns (as appropriate)
- Produce all monthly/quarterly invoicing on timeous basis and chase all overdue debts
- Process and settle inward invoices within approved authority levels
- Provide accounting support for this entity
- Provide statutory accounting information to the Group FD for the completion of the Group consolidation for this entity
- Act as liaison with the auditors and tax accountants and prepare for and support the completion of the annual audit process (for relevant entities)
- Liaise with pension fund corporate trustees
- Manage various banking relationships
- Support the preparation of quarterly Board reports
