Rutherford Cross is working with a highly reputable investment business who is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant with exceptional technical skills and the ability to take on challenging project work.  This permanent, Glasgow city centre based position is a fantastic opportunity for an ACCA or CA qualified accountant who has gained experience in Financial Services or the Insurance sector to join a business where they will gain broad exposure.  The successful candidate will take ownership of financial reporting and management accounts preparation for 2 subsidiaries.  This position is well suited to an individual who has experience of managing numerous tasks and is able to deliver to strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

• Submitting the annual report, ensuring the accurate completion of statutory reporting for the business and all subsidiaries
• Play a leading role within the finance team, making colleagues aware of the impacts of regulatory and policy changes
• Maintain and develop robust financial controls
• Participate in financial projects when opportunities arise
