Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a multinational financial services organisation to recruit for a Finance Team Manager. This role is responsible for managing a large team, managing debtor provision, cash management and reconciliations.  This role will be supporting the business through an exceptionally busy and high growth period and will present lots of opportunity for assisting in various projects as well as handling BAU activities.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Working closely with the business to build relationships and work with them to manage their debt, unallocated cash, held funds and funding positions
  • Drive forward process improvements to align work across the two divisions
  • Stand in for line manager in operational forums
  • Performance management
  • Responsible for Sox
  • Develop and monitor KPI’s/SLA’s set for the team and provide support to meet these performance requirements, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Perform monthly 1:1’s, appraisals and being hands on in managing a large team
  • Training and developing team members to provide them with relevant skills to undertake their assigned tasks and to allow them to develop
  • Identify areas for development and propose changes to management, ensuring effective controls are in place
  • Manage reporting of debtors/creditors data and liaise internally and with the business where necessary
  • Liaise with internal staff to ensure operating within company policies & procedures, and any external regulations on all items

The Key Candidate:

  • Qualified accountant
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Financial service knowledge is preferable.
  • Good understanding of Balance Sheets and P&L analysis
  • Experienced in managing large teams including team managers
  • Experience of leading change projects
