Description

Rutherford Cross is excited to be recruiting a Finance Systems Analyst to join a global business, headquartered in Glasgow. The purpose of the role is to take ownership of improving reporting procedures for the group accounting function and play a key part in the production of reliable MI.

Key tasks include:

  • Build detailed system-driven excel reports for use by the FDs of the individual businesses within the Group and their teams
  • Resolve time-critical systems queries/issues as raised by finance teams from around the globe
  • Act as a systems Subject Matter Expert and to advise and assist the Finance Team and wider organisation in this capacity
  • To raise issues of concern/significant importance to Senior Finance staff in order to seek guidance/advice
  • Assist the Group Accountant and Group Finance Manager with monthly reporting procedures and ad-hoc queries received from Executive Management
  • Own future amendments to the Group finance structure resulting from M&A activity
  • Perform routine systems maintenance and updates as required

  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Clear communication, with the ability to listen and ask appropriate questions in order to resolve issues, adapting style and language to meet audience needs
  • Ability to work well as part of a team to work collectively to achieve goals and objectives
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-paced changing environment

 

Experience required:

  • Understanding of financial reporting in a large-scale business
  • Previous use of COGNOS, SAP, TM1 or M3 all of benefit
  • Playing an active part of improving financial processes and procedures

 

On offer:

  • Salary £32,000-£36,000
  • Pension: Either employee 4.5% and employer 4.5%, or employee 6% and employer 8%
  • Holidays: 25 days plus 10 statutory days
