Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a hugely successful FMCG business based in Lanarkshire to appoint a Finance Manager, focusing on NPD & Costings.  This is an exceptional opportunity to join a large-scale, growing company in an exciting sector.

The Finance Manager will lead and support the Group Product Costing team to drive product costing accuracy and ensure best practice. In addition, the post-holder will also business partner with the New Product Development (NPD) teams to provide financial analysis and support to the function to ensure the business continues to develop profitable new products that meet the needs of a varied customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the costing of all new products from concept through to product launch, through business partnering with key stakeholders across the business to ensure all relevant information is built in to NPD projects
  • Ensure all finance elements of the online system that manage product costings are accurate and up to date
  • Manage the post launch review process for product costs, drive the site post review meetings to ensure a continuous improvement approach and share learnings across the business
  • Take a lead role in the process of EPD (existing product development) ;from identifying opportunities for manufacturing products more efficiently and effectively, through to tracking the financial benefits of various EPD projects
  • Partner with Supply Chain teams to ensure product Bill of Materials are loaded in a timely manner to enable accurate forecasting
  • Lead and develop direct reports within the team, whilst contributing strong leadership values across the wider Group finance team
  • Oversee all cost information inputted for NPD projects in the budgeting process
  • Ad-hoc support to the wider business on product costing and its process
  • Manage a team of 3

Experience working in FMCG and costing/evaluation process, with a proven track record in managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
