Description
Rutherford Cross are recruiting an Interim Finance Manager for a charity on the outskirts of Edinburgh and can pay either on a day rate or fixed term basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for efficient and effective day-to-day management of the Finance Department
- Produce quality and timely financial information, including management accounts, budgets, forecasts, Board and donor reports
- Undertake and manage year-end activities - statutory accounts and audit file preparation & liaising with external auditors
- Internal controls systems – responsible for implementation and maintenance of internal controls
- Supervision and development of Finance Department staff
- Managing day-to-day treasury, insurance, & other corporate activities
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified Accountant
- IT (especially excel) and financial accounting packages literate to a detailed level
- Management of a small finance team
- Production and presentation of management information (accounts, cash flow forecasting and budgets)
- Preparation of year end statutory accounts & related audit obligations
Desirable
- Understanding of charity sector and statutory reporting obligations
- Introduction, and management of processes, procedures and policies
- Corporate Services experience
Your key stakeholders will be the Director of Corporate Services & Finance, CEO and Board members, bank & auditors, Board of Finance & Audit Committee, Funding bodies regulators and Project staff. Your written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills are central to the role.
