Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with a highly successful Scottish Headquartered consumer services business to appoint a Finance Business Partner to the Financial Planning and Analysis Team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the successful applicant will support the day-to-day business performance management, financial budgeting and forecasting processes across the company.

This position represents a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Scottish business in a role that offers great career progression, full study support, a commercial focus, great benefits and a highly flexible working pattern that allows you to be predominantly home based.

Ideally we are looking to engage with part-qualified/newly qualified accountants in the commerce industry with prior commercial exposure, however we are also happy to consider first movers from practice or those with a predominantly financial reporting background. This is a hugely stakeholder-focused role, so we are looking to engage with those comfortable with dealing with the Executive team.

Responsibilities and Main Accountabilities:

  • Meet with the budget holders monthly to analyse variance to the budget and prepare a narrative for inclusion in the monthly management accounts and board papers
  • Provide short and longer-term financial forecasts and supporting analysis to the wider management and Executive team
  • Support the management team and wider business with data driven analysis and commercial business case preparation
  • Challenge current thinking, making recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimise risk/cost to the business
  • Champion process improvement and automation, deliver efficiencies and create capacity through the exploitation of the centralised MI and data toolsets
  • Deputise for the Senior Finance Business Partner as required

For an initial confidential discussion regarding this opportunity, please contact Harry Young at Rutherford Cross 07494 280 500 / [email protected]
