Rutherford Cross is teaming up with one of our valued clients to assist them in recruiting a Finance Assistant. The main responsibility of this position is to manage the purchase ledger, guaranteeing that all suppliers receive their payments on time. Additionally, the Finance Assistant will deal with any concerns related to supplier invoices quickly and efficiently, ensuring that internal issues regarding pricing and receipt of goods are resolved promptly with the relevant departments.
Key Requirements:
- Handling supplier invoices on a daily basis, ensuring matching of purchase orders and delivery notes. Processing all documents, on which there are errors, ensuring that the correct documentation is received and processed as required
- Distributing supplier invoices for authorisation to various departments
- Processing supplier invoices via Microsoft AX (ERP system)
- Monitoring and reviewing outstanding invoices with prompt resolution of queries
- Ensuring all supplier invoices are filed accurately and timely
- Answering suppliers’ telephone calls or emails and resolving queries timeously
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Preparing BACS and International payments for processing through internet banking
- Reconciling the Purchase Ledger to the General Ledger on a monthly basis
- Other ad hoc tasks as required
The Candidate:
- Previous purchase ledger experience is essential
- Microsoft Dynamic experience beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word / Excel
- Personal organisation: the ability to multitask, manage multiple deadlines and deliver these on time
- Professional attitude: the ability to communicate to all levels, establishing strong relationships with all stakeholders in person and via telephone
This role is based in Livingston and will follow a flexible hybrid working pattern. The role is offering a salary of circa £27,000 and has a wide range of benefits including a yearly bonus, private healthcare and gym membership, as well as offering a range of training opportunities.
