Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working in partnership with one of Scotland's leading drinks businesses to support them in appointing a Finance Analyst.
The purpose of the role is to support the Group’s full capital investment lifecycle, providing accurate and complete fixed asset financial information founded upon a strong global control platform and clearly defined processes.
The post-holder will be the subject matter expert on capital and fixed assets, supporting the coordination and delivery of projects, liaising with Capital Expenditure Controller and Finance Teams across the business.
Duties:
- Work with the Capital Expenditure Controller to ensure capital proposals are complete, accurate
and compliant and are recorded in line with the Group’s accounting policy - Execution of controls to ensure integrity of the fixed asset register, ranging from project proposals to balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and explain management and statutory reporting for fixed assets, with management
reporting including budgets, forecasts and latest estimates - Review processes on an on-going basis, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and propose and implement these with input and authorisation from Finance Leaders as appropriate
- Be recognised as the subject matter expert on capital and fixed assets
- Respond to ad hoc requests in the area, advising and supporting the business as required
- Support the delivery of the Way Project, involving the definition of ways of working, documentation and standardisation of processes
- Actively participate in major internal Group projects and support integration to ‘business as usual’ by building strong commercial awareness through networking and supporting Finance Leads across the Business

Required skills and qualification:
- Qualified accountant
- Sound experience of capital projects in terms of budgeting, accounting and reporting
- Experience of ERP and PC applications to deliver reporting and analysis
- Good communicator at all levels of the organisation
