We are working with a global utilities leader, headquartered in Scotland, to appoint a Finance Analyst. The business has significant scale, with revenues of almost £2bn earned from operations in 80 countries. It is at the forefront of helping its customers manage the energy transition by providing the greenest possible energy solutions.

The purpose of this role is to support the Head Office Accountant and together deliver world-class financial control and reporting for the Group’s functions and head office statutory accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Head Office Accountant with P&L general ledger analysis, month-end and quarterly forecasting
• Business partner senior functional leaders to help them manage their departmental budgets and forecasts, presenting insights on areas of improvement and cost savings
• Ownership of banking platform - monitor payments, review of BACS run and ensure bank reconciles to the ERP system at month-end
• Manage Group intercompany - key contact for all Group finance intercompany processes, including sending recharges and coding recharges received
• Support Head Office Accountant in the preparation of the annual financial statements for all holding companies
• Balance sheet reconciliations
